The app embeds a userspace Tailscale node via tsnet — no system-level VPN required. SSH connections go directly over the tailnet with host-key pinning on first use. WebView2 browser tabs access tailnet HTTP services through the embedded node. Configuration (hosts, credentials, layouts) is encrypted at rest and unlocked on launch.
